Applications This is a versatile intermediate. It can be used to make many silane coupling agents and special silicone fluids.
1. In rubber industry, it can improve the strength of polyurethane elastomer by introducing polar group ( chloropropyl ). It is also used to synthesize the vulcanized rubber which has lower permeability, rolling resistance and higher elasticity and elongation. In military, it is used as bulletproof solid tyre.
2. In plastic industry, it can effectively limit bleeding of plastiszer in PVC and keeps PVC cleaning in long period. It can be used as absorbent of polyurethane foam plastic, which can enhance the weathering resistance of foam plastic.
3. In textile industry, it can make textile soft, flexible, and also protect textile from yellowing, enhance the dyeing of textile.
4. In printing industry, it can be made into electronegative toner used in xeroradiograph, image developing and so on.
