The representative project of Pingdingshan City’s “one batch of production” is Pingmei Shenma Group Nylon Technology Co., Ltd. green transformation project (and the first phase of caprolactam energy saving and environmental protection technology upgrading and application project).
The total investment of the renovation project is about 600 million yuan, which will start in September 2021 and be put into trial operation in November. At present, important assessment indicators such as production capacity, consumption, and product quality have basically met expectations. The first-phase caprolactam capacity increased by about 80,000 tons/year to 180,000 tons/year, and the total caprolactam capacity of Nylon Technology Company increased to nearly 400,000 tons/year.

The first phase of the project: The first phase of the adipic acid caprolactam project of Nylon Technology Co., Ltd. invested 4 billion yuan, which started in April 2014 and reached production in May 2016. The production technology and product quality of caprolactam products have reached the domestic first-class level; adipic acid products The quality is one level higher than the national excellent standard, ranking at the international advanced level, with exports accounting for 30%, mainly sold to Turkey, South Korea, Japan, the United States and other places.
In order to effectively expand production capacity and further improve product competitiveness, the company implemented the technical transformation and upgrading project of the first-phase project soon after the first-phase project was put into operation, and increased the annual production capacity of caprolactam by 100,000 tons without increasing the land occupation. After the implementation, the total production capacity of the first phase of caprolactam of Nylon Technology Company increased to 180,000 tons/year.
Phase II Project: The Phase II project of Nylon Technology Co., Ltd. started construction in January 2018, with a total investment of about 2.115 billion yuan and a designed production capacity of 200,000 tons per year. The project will be trial-produced in August 2020. After the second phase of the project is put into operation, while supplying and producing nylon 6 chips, it will also directly supply the 100,000-ton/year nylon 6 civilian silk project, thus completing the industrial closed loop of caprolactam-nylon 6 chips-civilian silk.
According to the future plan, the company will use another 2-3 years to carry out technical transformation and upgrading of the caprolactam phase II project equipment, so that the caprolactam production capacity will reach 600,000 tons/year, and the million-ton caprolactam production base will begin to take shape.
