Phenol reagent spectrophotometry is suitable for environments with low formaldehyde concentration. The basic principle of detection is to pump air into a specific absorption liquid through an air pump, and measure the concentration of formaldehyde in the air by changing the color depth. The measurement result of this method is accurate, but the process is more complicated, and it needs to be sampled on site and then returned to the laboratory for analysis. Therefore, the detection result comes out slowly, that is, the result cannot be produced on site.
The electrochemical sensor method is suitable for environments where the concentration of formaldehyde is high. The basic principle of detection is to pass the air containing formaldehyde through the electrochemical sensor at a certain speed, and the sensor will generate currents of different sizes according to the concentration, and determine the concentration of formaldehyde through the intensity of the current. The detection speed of this method is fast, and the results can be seen on the spot. Most of the nominal detection principles of the random-checked net celebrity formaldehyde detector are this.
But disassembling the online shopping detector, you will find that the internal structure is simply pieced together with inferior sensing elements, which does not achieve the detection effect of electrochemical sensors at all.
In fact, the prevention of formaldehyde does not rely on detection. The existence of the detector only gives us a psychological comfort and makes us feel comfortable.
