According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of chloroform rose slightly in June. The price at the beginning of the month was 4,250 RMB/ton, and the price of chloroform at the end of the month was 4,350 RMB/ton. Analysis review
In June, the operating rate of domestic methane chloride plants did not change much, and the supply side was basically stable.
The price of raw material liquid chlorine was low, and the cost support was weak. Lower methanol prices had also created a certain negative atmosphere for chloroform. According to the business community, as of the end of June, the mainstream ex-factory price of raw material liquid chlorine in Shandong was around 850 RMB/ton, a sharp drop of 58.54% from the 2,050 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month; the price of methanol dropped from 2,665 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month to 2,555 RMB/ton at the end of the month, an overall decrease of 4.13%.
In June, the weather entered the high temperature stage in summer, and the demand for refrigerant had a certain degree of rigid support, which formed a certain support for chloroform as a whole.
Market outlook
Methane chloride data analysts of SunSirs believe that the current cost side support is weak, and the demand side still has support for chloroform. It is expected that the price of chloroform will be stable mainly in the short term.
