SunSirs: Price Index of Chinese Rare Earth Market Stabilizes Temporarily on September 28

  The Rare Earth Index on September 28 was 600 points, a decrease of 40.00% from the cycle high of 1,000 points (2011-12-06), and an increase of 121.40% from the low of 271 points on September 13, 2015. (Note: Period refers to 2011-12-01 to present).

  The domestic rare earth index is temporarily stable. The price of domestic light rare earth praseodymium and neodymium series has declined. The price of praseodymium neodymium oxide fell 1,000 yuan/ton to 597,000 yuan/ton, the price of praseodymium neodymium metal was 735,000 yuan/ton, and the price of praseodymium oxide was 64 yuan. The price of neodymium oxide was RMB 627,500/ton, the price of metal praseodymium was RMB 860,000/ton, the price of neodymium metal rose by RMB 10,000/ton to RMB 775,000/ton, and the price of dysprosium oxide rose by RMB 10,000/ton. To 2.695 million yuan/ton, the price of dysprosium ferroalloy was 2.64 million yuan/ton, and the price of dysprosium metal rose by 5000 yuan/ton to 3.445 million yuan/ton. The price of some domestic light rare earths market rose, and the recent purchases are general, and the price of praseodymium-neodymium series is stable. Mainly, the price of dysprosium in the domestic heavy rare earth market has risen recently, the price of terbium has risen, downstream procurement is not active, and Myanmar is banned from export. It is expected that the domestic rare earth market price will stabilize in the later period.
