Jilin Chemical Fiber’s 50K high-capacity, high-performance, large-tow carbonization line was successfully started at one time
Latest News: On August 30th, the 50K high-capacity, high-performance, and large tow carbonization line of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group Corporation was successfully started. The 50K high-capacity, high-performance large-tow carbonization line started this time with a single-line annual production capacity of 3,300 tons, which is the last final line of the Guoxing Carbon Fiber project under the group company with an annual output of 15,000 tons of carbon fiber. According to the company announcement on March 18, 2022, Jilin Chemical Fiber Group promised to inject the controlling stake of Guoxing Carbon Fiber into the listed company within 3 years, which is expected to promote the rapid expansion of the company’s carbon fiber production capacity.
The growth of wind power installations and the increase in blade size have significantly increased the demand for large tow carbon fibers. In addition, the carbon fiber application market represented by carbon-carbon thermal fields for photovoltaics and pressure vessels for hydrogen energy is also gradually opening. From January to July 2022, domestic apparent consumption will increase by 20% year-on-year to 39,300 tons, and exports will increase by 190% year-on-year to 745 tons. As of early September, the price of carbon fiber T300/25K in Jilin was 135,000/ton, down nearly 5% year-on-year. The price adjustment is expected to further open up the demand for wind power companies. According to estimates, the global carbon fiber demand will reach 380,000 tons in 2030.
