Lucite Elvacite 4026 acrylic resin
Product Introduction
Elvacite 4026 is a solid granular acrylate-based resin. It is used as a special additive resin for radiation curing (UV or EB) coatings and inks. The latest polymer chemistry gives Elvacite 4026 a unique UV-reactive large Molecular design, it is also widely used in radiation curing screen printing inks, wood coatings and plastic coatings.
The latest chemistry contained in Elvacite 4026 is in addition to resins such as Elvacite 2028, 2013 and 2927 that have been used for years as “inert” resins in UV formulations.
More benefits from Elvacite 4026 but
(2) Improve chemical resistance and solvent resistance (2) Enhance adhesion to the substrate and improve recoatability
(3) Reduce the viscosity of the formula (3) Improve the pigment dispersion performance
(4) Improve the flexibility of the paint film
Application
Elvacite acrylate-based resin can partially replace the resin prepolymer in the formula, but the partial substitution ratio cannot be too high. For example, see the application in formula systems based on polyurethane acrylates such as CN 965 or Ebecry 245. Chart 1: 50% of the resin prepolymer is replaced, and the others remain unchanged. This formula is suitable for paper substrates, the film thickness is 12um, and the curing light source is a radiation intensity of 80W/cm2 A mercury pressure lamp.
