Purpose
Dodecenyl succinic anhydride/tetrapolypropenyl succinic anhydride K12 (DDSA, TPSA) As an epoxy curing agent, it can improve the waterproofness and toughness of epoxy resin. Ventrus’ high-purity dodecenyl succinic anhydride is widely used in the sealing and encapsulation of electronic components. As a cross-linked epoxy curing agent, it can improve product performance in many aspects compared to other materials: Improve Bonds strength, increases toughness, increases electrical resistance and extends seal life.
In the application of corrosion inhibitors, alkenyl succinic anhydrides and alkenes obtained by hydrolysis Succinic acid (including derivatives of both) is often used as a corrosion inhibitor in water and hydrocarbon media. After dodecenyl succinic anhydride/tetrapolypropenyl succinic anhydride K12 (DDSA, TPSA) is added to gasoline and diesel, water can be absorbed through the hydrolysis of the acid anhydride, and the acid produced becomes a corrosion inhibitor and exists in it.
