Nippon invested 1 billion yuan to add 50,000 tons of coatings to expand the production capacity of Qingyuan factory
On June 1, 2018, Qingyuan Environmental Protection Bureau disclosed the acceptance announcement of Nippon’s Coating (Qingyuan) Co., Ltd. construction project environmental impact report. According to the announcement, Nippon Paint is preparing to expand its production base in Guangzhou (Qingyuan) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park.
On November 28, 2017, Nippon Paint China held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new factory in the Guangzhou (Qingyuan) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park. The project is divided into three phases of construction. The first phase of the project is planned to build a paint production scale of 35,000 tons/year. This expansion will not change the product (mainly putty powder, etc.) of the original first phase of the project. The second phase of the project, the expansion project, covers an area of 26,317 square meters, with a total investment of about 1.063 billion yuan. The main construction content includes production workshops, warehouses, raw material tank farms, public works, fire protection and environmental protection facilities.
The main products are oil-based paints, water-based paints and polyurethane curing agents, all of which are liquid products. The total annual output of various oil-based paints (sets) is about 36,500 tons, and various water-based paints are about 36,500 tons. 10300t, about 4500t of polyurethane resin. After the project is fully completed and put into production, it is estimated that the annual turnover will reach 1.055 billion yuan, and the total annual profit and tax will be 208 million yuan.
According to public information, Nippon Paint (Qingyuan) Co., Ltd. was registered on February 9, 2017 with a registered capital of 100 million yuan. Zhong Zhonglin, President of Nippon Paint China, serves as the chairman, and Guangzhou Nippon Paint Coating Co., Ltd. General Manager Li Guodong is the general manager.
According to the approval of the Qingyuan Municipal People’s Government on agreeing to the “Guangzhou (Qingyuan) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park A Zone Regulatory Detailed Plan”, the development of the park is positioned as a “Guangdong Province Industrial Transfer and Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and actively undertakes advanced incubation projects in the Guangzhou Development Zone” “Park area”, the main functions include advanced manufacturing, supporting services and housing, focusing on the development of high-end equipment manufacturing, fine chemicals, food and beverage, furniture manufacturing, biomedicine, electronic information and other industries. Nippon’s investment project belongs to the fine chemical industry and meets the relevant requirements of the park planning.
