Qingdao’s manufacturing industry is relatively developed, such as the iron tower industry, home appliance industry, and automobile manufacturing industry. A large number of solvent-based coatings (paints) are used every day to generate VOCs. This is similar to Qingdao’s. Promote environmentally friendly coatings
CPPCC member Li Shaoxiang suggested in the proposal that in Qingdao’s municipal engineering, building interior and exterior walls, interior decoration and other industries, all oil-based paints and oil-based adhesives that seriously harm the health of citizens should be banned, and water-based paints, water-based adhesives, and solvent-free should be replaced. Coatings and powder coatings; in the machinery manufacturing industry, home appliance industry, marine equipment manufacturing, automobile maintenance industry, etc., oil-based coatings are completely banned, and water-based coatings, water-based adhesives, solvent-free coatings and powder coatings are used; in the automotive manufacturing industry, marine The use of water-based coatings, water-based adhesives, solvent-free coatings and powder coatings is fully promoted in the project. After 2-3 years, the use of environmentally friendly coatings will account for more than 80% of the total.
“In order to cooperate with the implementation of the above-mentioned local regulations and promote the transformation and upgrading of relevant industries in Qingdao, it is recommended to introduce relevant policies to promote the process of water-based coatings.” Li Shaoxiang said.
In addition, Li Shaoxiang also suggested the establishment of the “Qingdao City Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Technology Integrated Development Center”. The center takes the promotion of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements as the main work goal, and through the construction of technology library, technology screening, integrated pilot development, and enterprise alliance, Industrialization implementation, market-oriented operation and other processes; employ engineer-type technicians to carry out technical integration related work, relying on the advantages and experience of established characteristic industrial bases and pilot-scale incubators in technology integration and pilot-scale verification to create replicable , Scalable technology integration development platform; improve the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements of colleges and universities into actual productivity.
