What are the disadvantages of over-hung electroplating workpieces?
If the workpieces are hung too densely, they will inevitably cover each other. As a result, some parts of the workpieces may not be plated with the normal coating, or only coated with a very thin layer. Coating, this situation is more difficult for plating such as chrome plating. This type of plating is not allowed to be mounted too densely, otherwise it will have a greater impact. Another disadvantage of over-hung plating is: Joule heat is not easy to dissipate, the temperature of the plating solution will rise rapidly, and the quality of the plating will be seriously deteriorated. This phenomenon is easily reflected in the chromium plating or aluminum anodizing process. For example: when the temperature of the chromium plating solution exceeds 2°C in the process specification, the chromium layer cannot be plated on the part that should be able to be plated under normal temperature conditions. When the temperature of the aluminum anodizing solution exceeds the process specification by 2℃, the normal film can be obtained, but only the film with hoarfrost can be obtained at this time. This also shows the importance of controlling the temperature of the solution. If the temperature of the solution rises too fast, it may be caused by the hanging of the workpiece on the hanger too densely and exceeding the volume current density allowed by the solution. This should be paid attention to and strictly controlled. |
