Features and uses:
1,8-diazabicycloundec-7-ene is used as a catalyst in the polyurethane industry. It is a very active, low-odor condensation Glue catalysts are mainly used where strong gel catalysis is required, including formulas containing alicyclic isocyanates or aliphatic isocyanates, because their activity is not as good as aromatic isocyanates, so strong catalysts are needed;
1,8-diazabicycloundec-7-ene catalyst activity is significantly enhanced with the increase of temperature, for example, DBU to isocyanate-alcohol at 70℃ The catalytic rate constants of the isocyanate-water reaction are 67 times and 35 times that at 25℃, respectively, while the catalytic activity of the commonly used bicyclic tertiary amine catalyst triethylenediamine is increased to 5 times and 6 times, respectively;
1,8-diazabicycloundec-7-ene catalyst can be used in whole skin foam, microcellular elastomer, rigid foam and other formulations.
The main purpose of DBU is as an excellent organic base deacidification agent for drug synthesis. It can replace organic bases such as triethylamine, N,N-xylidine, pyridine and quinoline, and is widely used in organic synthesis and semi-synthetic antibiotics, and obtains satisfactory results in dehydrohalogenation reactions. It is widely used in the production of cephalosporin semi-synthetic antibiotics, such as the reaction of ammonia and dichloroethane in the presence of DBU to produce piperazine. It can also be used in epoxy resin hardeners, rust inhibitors, high corrosion inhibitors, and catalysts for other chemical reactions.
Application of DBU to epoxy resin DBU hardly reacts with epoxy resin in the range of room temperature to 40℃, and when the temperature rises to 100℃ The epoxy resin can be gelled within 15 minutes. On epoxy resin, DBU is mainly used as a curing accelerator for epoxy resin for encapsulation of integrated circuits and electronic components. When used in the form of DBU salt, the DBU is dissociated to promote curing when heated during packaging.
The combination of DBU and linear phenolic resin is a light yellow solid, which has changed the shortcomings of DBU that is easy to hydrolyze in a humid environment. Therefore, the epoxy molding compound used for IC packaging composed of it has good heat resistance and high pressure cooking performance.
